TNUSRB Si (Sub-Inspector) Exam Date Update: The application window for TNUSRB SI recruitment 2025 Candidates can submit their applications online on the official TNUSRB website, tnusrb.tn.gov.in.  The exam date will be announced shortly by the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB).

TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern 2025

This exam includes three stages for selection, i.e., written examination, physical measurement test and endurance test, physical efficiency test and viva-voce. Candidates can find the exam pattern for the TNUSRB SI exam on the official website of the board. The exam pattern is different for both the open quota candidates and the departmental quota candidates. However, there is no provision for negative marking in the exam.

The exam pattern for the written examination for both categories of candidates is given below. Refer to the table for preparation to be confident before the TNUSRB SI exam date of 2025.

Open Quota Candidate

Part 1: The first part of the paper is based on the General Knowledge of the candidates. A total of 80 questions are present in part 1, which carries 40 marks. Thus each question carries a half mark.

Part 2: The second part includes a more extensive syllabus with a total of 60 questions carrying half marks each. Thus Part 2 consists of 30 marks. All the questions in both parts are of objective type.

The total duration of the paper is 2:30 hours. Candidates must secure at least 25 marks to qualify for further rounds of the selection process.

  • Both parts have objective types of questions.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded ½ mark.
  • Total exam for 70 marks.
  • The candidates should get 25 marks (35%) to qualify for the written examination.

Departmental Quota Candidate

Part 1: The first part of the paper is based upon the General Knowledge of the candidates. A total of 30 questions are present in part A, which carries 15 marks. Thus each question carries a half mark.

Part 2: The second part includes a larger syllabus with a total of 140 questions carrying half marks each. Part B consists of 70 marks. All the questions in both parts are of objective type.

The total duration of the paper is 3 hours. Candidates must secure at least 30 marks to qualify for further rounds of the selection process.

  • Both parts have objective types of questions.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded ½ mark.
  • Total exam for 85 marks.
  • The candidates should get 30 marks (35%) to qualify for the written examination.
